County Supervisors Deny Help to Women’s Shelter

Board of Supervisors fails to help battered women and children. The Women’s Transitional Living Center is the only shelter in Orange County for battered women. The shelter is in desperate need of short-term financial help! Join us at a fundraiser for the shelter. Donate cash or bring a check made out to “Women’s Transitional Living Center” (any amount you can afford is appreciated). Come and visit us at OCEA’s Hot Dog Day on Monday, Sept. 29, 2008 – between 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at 830 N. Ross St., Santa Ana.

You can also donate by sending a check (payable: Women’s Transitional Living Center, Inc.) to P.O.Box 6103, Orange, CA 92683. Or visit us on-line at http://www.wtlc.org and click on the donate link.

  1. Aydin says:

The five Board Supervisors are elected by the voters of their district to four-year terms. Please visit the Orange County website and make sure to contact your representative and voice your opinion about this issue. As stated in the article Supervisor John M.W. Moorlach is clearly not interested in helping this shelter – get your voice heard, make sure he is representing your interests.

What a great thing to post and share with us! Thank You. I didn’t even know we had these types of shelters in Orange County.

Who do we call to complain about this? Who’s the elected representative for Placentia and Yorba Linda?

  4. Harry says:

In response to the question “Who do we call to complain about this” you can follow Aydin’s link entitled Link to OC Website that lists all 5 representatives, the cities they represent and their phone numbers.
