The Negotiations Team met again with the District on Thursday, September 26.
At this meeting CSEA gave the District our 7th proposal.
As of right now, CSEA and the District have not reached an agreement on the number of furlough days for the 13/14 school year.
CSEA’s last proposal did include furlough days that took into consideration the 63 layoffs of classified employees for 2013/14.
However, the District has not agreed and they have not moved from their original proposal.
Classified employees should plan to either work their normal shifts on November 25, 26 and 27th or request Vacation days for that time.
Also, since there has been no agreement reached, there will be NO furlough deduction from your OCTOBER paychecks, or any paychecks until negotiations are completed .
If any furlough days are agreed to, those payroll deductions will begin after contract ratification by the membership.
The team is scheduled to meet again on October 15th.
