At the Chapter meeting on June 13th a vote was held to ratify three MOU’s and the successor contract.
The results were as follows,
MOU on Child Development Educator Job Description – Passed
MOU Child Development Educator Rate Range – Passed
MOU ELMT – LMA Restoration – Passed
Successor Contract TA -Failed
As a result of the vote the successor Contract will have to be renegotiated .
As at this time there are no sessions scheduled, and the process will likely resume in September.

There is an additional MOU for consideration at Monday’s Chapter meeting.
This will be a correction and change for the calendars for the following classifications on calendars 975/976. This will reflect the restoration of days lost in previous years.
MOU ELMT- LMA
This MOU will be ratified on Monday 6/13/2016 along with the contract and the other MOU’s .

CSEA’s Endorsement Process
Candidates are selected by CSEA’s Political Action for Classified Employees (PACE) Committee for recommendation to the CSEA Board of Directors, with CSEA Board Members making the official endorsement. These recommendations are made by PACE of CSEA based on candidates’ voting records, answers to CSEA’s questionnaires and candidate interviews or some combination of these. Candidates are rated for such recommendation based on issues of importance to CSEA, including school and community college funding, retirement benefit protections, health care reform, workers’ rights and other issues impacting CSEA members in their work place.

On June 3, 2016, the Chapter received the approval through the 610 process of the T.A. of the new contract language.
On the following link please find the changes to the contract language that the team negotiated. Changes are indicated in bold and underlined.
Please note that the team has agreed to Reopen the article on wages in November for the 2016- 17 school year to discuss potential raises. Any potentially agreed to raises would be retro to 7/1/2016 .
The Team agreed with the District that it was prudent to wait until after the November elections to find out about Prop 30 and reassess the financial situation at that time.
The ratification will be held at the last regularly scheduled Chapter meeting on June 13th 2016, 5:15 held at the PDA ( formerly ESC ) at 4999 Casa Loma dr. Yorba Linda ca.

Upon Ratification, this contract would go into effect July 1, 2016- 2019, with re openers
